When my little baby was very very tiny spot in my belly my sister in law asked what we were calling her. She was pregnant at the time also and they were calling the baby in the belly "beanie". We didn't really call the little one inside me with anything at the time so she asked what beanie is in Finnish. "Pipo" we said (note: we said it, so she didn't have clue how it was written). A while later, actually on new years eve we got a message: "Happy New Years to you guys and Bepo! xxx Tom, Shell and Beanie." And since then we called her bepo.
So why did I tell you that story? Because I just remembered it and because my little bepo is 10 months and I had forgotten bepo for a while and I want to bring it back and call her that again. And also I've been making her some bepos or beanies, which ever one you prefer. So here they are (two beanies are missing from the pictures, because one I've given away and one is for a bigger girl so way too big for my Bepo):
It was a beautiful day so we went to the closest park to have some fun and take pictures. Bepo loved the slide but even more fun was eating sand and then grass and then the beanies.
The instructions for the pink beanie and white beanie are here and here (though I modified and made my own way a bit). Brown one I made up myself.

Where I've been
Wow, it's been three weeks. What have I been doing? Well let me tell you (if the pictures of my ugg boots traveling around Western Australia don't tell you the message).
I have...
... relaxed by reading a good book
... enjoyed crocheting (beanies mainly)
... shopped till I've dropped at op shops
... been amazed how quickly my little girl is learning (turning pages of the book, standing without support etc.)
... watched how the nature finally turns green
... not thinking about my up coming trip to Finland
... not blogging, but pinning
... spent quality time with extended family
Yeah so I've been just chilling I guess. But I'm here now, for another week. Then I'm off to Finland (still not thinking about it though).

This is the way we splash our hands
I've been reading A LOT of blogs lately and I must say one of my favorite ones are the ones that present things that they've done with their kids or ideas that you can do with your kids. Yeah it's not surprise that I like those blogs very much at the moment.
I'm dying to try some of those things out with my missy. But she's still a bit too little. And I've been thinking what are those activities that you can do with a little child (and i don't mean just rhymes and reading a book, I'm looking for a bit more creative things and maybe even some crafty things). Any ideas?
I'm trying to write ideas down as I think of them, but I'm kinda stuck at the moment. So for now we just swim.
Here's some blogs that I would suggest to have a look (concerning this topic):

Here's some blogs that I would suggest to have a look (concerning this topic):
- Whipup (just posted a whole punch of links to different kids blogs. I haven't even gone through half of them yet, because I'm spending quite a bit of time on each blog. But what I've seen so far, they are amazing!)
- Modern Parents Messy Kids (she shares some amazing projects for kids to do, oh please have a look if you haven't yet)
- lilla a (I'm pretty sure everyone knows this blog by now, because the things she makes with her children are so cool)
- SouleMama (this mama is so down to earth and I love to follow their life on the farm with heaps of kids and doing crafty things)
- I Am Momma Hear Me Roar (this is the most basic crafty blog out of these, but it also includes a lot of ideas what you can do with your kids)
Cardboard on the backround
Getting inspired again by this weeks challenge, which was to use cardboard in some way. At the beginning of the week when I made these pages we didn't have any cardboard lying around so I used the empty cereal box. It had the writing on it and everything. Just had to fill all the rest of the text with the picture and the journal. And then yesterday we got a parcel we've been waiting for, few cookbooks and few dvd's. So now I would have plenty of cardboard. Oh well. Oh and I made another page too (see below).
Inspiroiduin jalleen. Tein muuten toisenkin sivun:
To see the texts on both pages, click the image and it'll be bigger (big enough to read).
